What you need to know

Competition Rules

The rules of the competition are simple:

1. To follow the Official Royal & Ancient Rule Book.

2. Your Rangeholder (supplied as part of your entrance fee) must be used as the sole carrying device for 5 clubs only.

3. If more than 5 clubs are used during the event, you will be disqualified.

4. All participants must have an official club handicap.

5. Stableford 3/4 off handicap

6. Two best scores from each regional venue events for both adults and juniors to qualify for finals - sudden death shoot out to be arranged if there is a tie.

7. At the Grand Final, the winner will receive the RHGM UK 5 Club Championship 2010 trophy - one for adults, one for juniors.

8. Regional Qualifying events will be held at 4 different locations across the country in May/June 2010

9. Two Qualifiers from each region to enter the final event held on the Ailsa Course at Turnberry Golf Resort on Saturday October 2nd 2010 - Accommodation and Green Fees included.

10. Each qualifier can bring along a partner.  Juniors can bring along a parent or guardian.

11. Rangeholder reserves the right to increase the number of venues should entries exceed expectation or cancel competition with full refund only if minimum numbers are not achieved.

12. No other reasons for refund will be accepted.

13. All participants will be notified if rule number 11 occurs.

14. Tee times for Regional events will be notified by end of April 2010.

 

About the Championship

Regional qualifying events will be held in May and June 2010 (2 in Scotland; 2 in England). The two qualifiers from each region will compete in the Grand Final to be played at the Ailsa Course, Turnberry in October 2010.
